
The AZE Young Poets Contest is an annual contest held across Nigeria, in honor of the Late Austin “Zero” Eke (d. 19/11/2011).
This contest encourages the literary Arts and bestows rewards on young poets in senior secondary school (SS. 1 – SS. 3).
The best Poetry submissions will win cash prizes, international recognition and more.

1st Prize: N100,000
2nd Prize: N60,000
3rd Prize: N40,000

YPC 2021 SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
- Compose an original One-page poem titled “WHO I WANT TO BE”.
- Email to sebausfoundation@gmail.com or submit here
- Email Subject should be YOUR NAME and the POEM TITLE
In Body of email and your document, include
- Your Name
- Phone number you can be reached on
- School name
- City or Village
- Academic Class
- Principal’s name
Length of submission
- Each individual entry has a ONE-page limit.
- The number of words is not fixed, but each work cannot exceed one typed page. All entries should be double-spaced.
- Preferred fonts: Courier New and Times New Roman.
Publishing
- NO PLAGIARISM.
- We do not accept entries that have been previously published. Please submit something new.
- Simultaneous submissions are allowed for our contest, but you must notify us immediately if the piece is accepted elsewhere.
- We do not accept pieces that have received national publication or won other contests, so if the piece is accepted elsewhere, we will withdraw it from our contest.
